Henry Schein Dental UK and Optident expand their endodontic offerings with the incorporation of premium products from FKG

Henry Schein Dental UK, together with the Henry Schein company Optident, announce the introduction of the FKG product portfolio in the UK and Ireland. FKG is a Swiss manufacturer of endodontic files and supplies with a track record of over 90 years.

FKG products are designed with a focus on quality and innovation to provide great precision for successful clinical outcomes. By adding the advanced FKG rotary systems and bioceramic sealers to its lineup both Henry Schein Dental UK and Optident aim to provide a wider choice of endodontic products and help dental professionals elevate patient care.

Rotary systems:

• RACE® EVO: This evolution of the RaCe (Reamer with Alternating Cutting Edges) NiTi rotary system from FKG, incorporates the company’s proprietary heat treatment for greater resistance to cyclic fatigue, higher rotation speed capability, and reduced screwing effect, providing increased control, safety, and efficiency. The EVO line also incorporates depth marks and a silicone endo stop, and features such as the finish on metal handles for contra-angle to provide easy identification of the ISO diameter (wide ring) and of the taper (narrow ring).

• XP-endo® Rise: The next generation of FKG´s adaptive one-shaper line; a single shaping file optimum for multiple canal morphologies. The XP-endo® Rise has a proven high flexibility and resistance to cyclic fatigue and provides a high bacteria reduction – up to 99.5% - and high debris removal in C shaped canal – up to 98.9%[1].

Obturation treatment:

• TotalFill® BC Sealer: This premixed bioceramic endodontic material is indicated for cold endodontic sealing procedures and is dispensed in both syringe and putty forms, for its use in root canal obturations, root repairs, and retrograde fillings.

• TotalFill® BC Sealer HiFlow: This version of the TotalFill® BC Sealer has a higher radiopacity and lower viscosity when heated, making it ideal for warm obturation treatments.
