Henry Schein achieves ISO 14001 certification
We are pleased to announce that our ISO 14001 audit has completed and we have now received our certification.
As a business we are committed to evaluating our environmental impact when carrying out our business activities and achieving ISO 14001 certification assists us with this objective. A dedicated team has been working on implementing ISO 14001 over the last six months and working closely with the auditor, supporting them with reviewing our processes, management systems, workstreams and more.
The auditor picked up on the enthusiasm within Henry Schein for creating a greener future for us all, commenting on the commitment and consistency of awareness and engagement throughout the business.

ISO 14001 certification is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. The requirements are determined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to help organisations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and to reduce waste.
To achieve ISO certification, a series of audits were conducted for our integrated management system. The audits confirmed that we are meeting the compliance obligations for ISO 14001, and that we are operating in a responsible and sustainable manner. Henry Schein Dental UK demonstrated, via documented evidence, that as a company we understand our business risks and impact on the environment.
Becoming ISO certified is another important step in improving our facilities and promoting sustainability. Our four environmental focus areas are:
• Mitigating our impact on climate;
• Smart and efficient use of energy and water;
• Continually reducing waste to landfills;
• Recycling and reusing valuable resources.
By managing our activities to reduce pollution and to protect the environment, complying with the applicable compliance obligations, engaging Team Schein Members to identify, develop, and implement environmental and social projects and initiatives, and supporting our customers adopting better environmental practices, we can continue to work towards achieving a more sustainable future.
